It looks like the Radiant was in the long configuration, was the Surge in the long configuration as well?

Surprised how loud the Nomad was. Also surprised how quiet the omega was with the brake. I hate that brake.

I don't think it was out of line really, you have to keep in mind that the cans in that test run 6.25" to 7.5" with total system weights (DT or can plus brake) of 9.8 oz to 23 oz, that's a decent span. Here's my notional breakdown, I took the difference between generic bare muzzle Mil and SE readings (Silencer Shop's Rem 700 .308 bare muzzle pulse data of ~170 Mil , and ~160 SE from their Nomad TI video), subtracted TBAC's recorded values and divided by can length in inches and weight in oz respectively. I know this isn't exactly defensible given the logrithmic nature of SPL, but the recordings are all so close, I don't really think it's that bad.

Anywhoo, the Dominus blows it out of the water on suppression per length, and the Gen 2 Ultra 7 looks good as well. The Nomad seems to be middle to front of the pack in general for the non-Gen2 TBACs and you can also see the imbalance imparted by the Omega's brake. Obviously without the brake contributing to the length, the Omega would probably take a big jump up on this chart, I'm just now sure how the metering data is affected. Here's the same kind of thing except divided by system weight. I used the DT weight for cans with that option and included the brake weight for cans that need to attach to a brake to be used. I didn't know what brakes/flash hiders were used with the OSS and Rugged cans, so I just included whatever muzzle device they ship with. I also included a theoretical column for the Nomad TI using the same pulse data as the Nomad 30 and a weight of 9.6 oz because that will be my next can, and I was curious how it will likely stack up. There's a chart with the un-molested averages. (cans arranged longest to shortest)

We didn’t have a flat end cap for the omega when we shot the video. We have one now and it’s on our list of data to add. It’s difficult this time of year to get a calm day to go meter but we will eventually post the data.
