MK4 rings—-what could be the maximum objective size be for a flat-top receiver?
The rings are 27.94mm tall, so any scope with an objective bell 55.88mm or less in external diameter should fit on a flat top receiver. Before doing any math I had previously tried it with my Athlon Ares ETR and my S&B 5-25 PMII to see if I could use these to mount them on my AR - no dice but it was fairly close.

In other words, you'd need either a very thin tube on a 50mm objective lens scope or you'd more realistically need something like a 44mm objective lens scope. That or you'd just need to be willing to grind down 1-3mm on your picatinny up front!
