Tight Bore on a Gas Gun

I understand that the tight bores are being used with great success in bolt guns, allowing similar velocities with shorter barrels. I am curious if this is possible on a gas gun too? Does the gas system need some tweaking to accomodate? Perhaps an adjustable gas block?

The Obermeyer tubes on the Seal Teams Mk11 Mod 0 rifles are 298x308 bore, and they dont have issues with overpressure.

I was asking about tight bore barrels a couple days ago too. It was just general stuuf not particularly for gas guns but I learned alot. I was thinkin about doing the same thing. I got a AR10T and was thinknin of doing that with it beause I want to do a 18.5 barrel. If u do anything similar post it and results. I just wonder even though the military uses the MK11 if they tuned it for that.
