Tikka CTR Ring Height

Sorry for the newb question, I’ve looked through the sticky as well as done the scope ring calculator multiple times but I’m still confused on what rings I should order for a CTR.

The optic is a zeiss v4 4-16x50 and I plan on keeping the stock CTR 0 MOA base. Do I need “high” 30 mm rings that are 1” or higher or could I get away with medium? Tough to know for sure without having the rifle in hand.

Happy to help but need more details. What caliber, barrel length and how far do you want to shoot? (matters when you pick the ring tilt)
Are you keeping the stock or will you be changing that out? If so to what?

Rings at 1.00” height are perfect for a ctr with the factory base and a 50mm objective. It will allow scope caps het be as low as possible with the factory stock.

If you want to use a thicker contour barrel than the ctr then I recommend getting 1.10” height rings. They will be a little less comfortable with the factory stock though unless you build up the cheek piece.

Most Tikka bases are low profile. You will have to move up one size compared to the bases that are used on Remington and Savage rifles.

I took this for you OP. This is a 50mm objective with .97” rings.

Thats a picture of it. I pulled it out the safe and set the scope on it. I will let you know today.
