When I got to the range the temp was at 35* and falling. FV winds of 18-20 with gusts up to 45 mph. Leaves, sand , and debris sandblasting me. When I left temp was 22*. First groups were good, but called it after the 3rd group. Fired the last group with a pair of cotton roping gloves on and said enough.

sidenote: had a couple questions for Kyle at XLR, called him and visited with him for a little bit this AM. I know they are busy, but when the owner has time to talk and answer questions it is just icing on the cake. Great stock and should mention that my completion date was 1-10-13, got the stock yesterday. If you are on the fence about a xlr, buy with confidence, you will be treated good.

Rifle looks good. A stock coming three weeks early just in time for Christmas is awesome, but now you'll have to get the wife something bigger if she beat you home! I wonder how it'll shoot when that 20-45 mile per hour gust aren't blowing 5 into one hole for you! Sharp looking rifle and good shooting. Anyway, it's nice to see top tier manufacturers finally making parts for the "other" guys. Btw, weren't you the guy that got torched in the 100yd contest for not having a snipery enough rig? Haters gonna hate! lmao

Nice rifle, I had been thinking about putting a Tikka in an XLR for a while now. Yours came out very nice. How much does it weigh? Pretty sure there is minimal recoil, so you can spot your own shots.

Yep that was me farmboy, rather get beat by good shooters with 2x the coin in their rifles. Could have been worse, could have got smoked by some hacks with mosin-nagants, that would have been sad. It weights about 13 3/4lb with bipod and 10 rd ai mag empty.
