Hi All

A bit of a long shot, but I am trying and so far without much success, to find the precise dimensions of the top the Tikka M 695 receiver, and the screw hole centres.

I could measure it, yes, but that probably is not accurate enough to achieve precise alignment of a one piece machined scope mount.

I've tried the UK Sako distributors, and tried telephoning the Factory in Rihimaki... no joy to date. I get the impression that as it is now an obsolete model, they don't have too much interest

Much appreciate any information

Many Thanks

Re: Tikka M695 Receiver

I can have our inspection guy at work measure mine precisely if you'd like. Not sure how soon I could get that done though.

If it were me, I'd put the plug screws in the holes with the screwdriver slots turned 90 degrees to the bore centerline. Measure with a caliper from the front face of the receiver to the near edge of the slot on each screw. By always measuring from the front of the receiver, you're eliminating the stack-up of measuring inaccuracy that you'd get by trying to measure them center-to-center.

If you'd like, I can measure mine and compare notes with you?

ETA: The front of the 695 receiver is nice and flat too, so quite easy to measure from.
