I'm kinda surprised about two things of this tikka in 7mm rem mag. 1 is how accurate is prints groups at 100 yards. The other is how slow this rifle is. I've so far tried H4831sc, Reloader 22, Retumbo

Two bullets I've tried: 154 Hornady Interbond and 160 Barns TSX bullets. H4831SC gave an anemic 2550FPS. Finally settled on the 154GR Interbond and Retumbo at 2790FPS.

This rifle is for heavy game like bison. Should I try a heavier bullet, or a lighter weight one?

The load I settled on is 69gr of Retumbo with the 154gr interbond at 2790FPS. I was wondering if I should look at decreasing the weight of the bullet and go with a Barnes bullet for bison hunt?
The 154 interbond should do just fine if you choose your shot accordingly.
A friend killed a nice Bison bull with a 243win but shot placement was in the upper neck were the spine met the skull.
