Hi All,

I have a Tikka T3.

Its easy enough to strip the back end and the firing pin out of the bolt.

What I want to do, however, is to strip the bolt head ... namely the ejector pin and the ejector itself

Has anyone done this and can advise me ? are there any Youtube resources out there that describe this process in detail ?

Thanks in advance

Had to figure this out when Cerakoting my Tikka bolt. There is a small round pin running lengthways with the bolt body. This has a spring behind it pushing it towards the bolt face, and it's holding the extractor claw in. If you push this small pin down (towards the back of the bolt) using a small flat head screwdriver, the tension will be off the claw and you can pull it out sideways from the bolt body. I'm not sure if there's a small undercut in the claw which helps it stay in place, but the little pin is what's holding the claw under tension. Be careful when you take the screwdriver off the little pin, it can easily shoot away due to the spring behind it. You just about need 3 hands, but it's possible.
