I'm looking at running a switch barrel setup on a Tikka T3 action and I just want to make sure that if I have the factory barrel removed, the threads cleaned and so on that there will be no issues with re-installing the same barrel to the action and maintaining headspace. A witness mark on the action and the barrel would no doubt be required, but I would assume that once the threads are cleaned and an anti-sieze compound used the barrel will snug up to the shoulder the same unless I do something stupid like under or over torque it, right?

Additionally, is there a practical limit to the number of times you can torque on and off a barrel before the threads on either the action or the barrel (or the set of two or three barrels you are swapping) start to break down?

Thank you in advance for any input.
