That was me. The action has been trued for this barrel and I was planning on just pulling the barrel and using the action for a prefit so it wouldn’t work for me.

You'd think thats information that would be nice to have been provided with in the OP's original post. Someone really could get disappointed buying this not knowing the action is no longer good for pre-fits. I was contemplating the same, sell the barrel and get a prefit. No go!

Kinda what I was thinking also....Disappointed and possibly injured shooting a barrel that is not headspace correctly...... Defiantly should be included in the OP

I know it’s very common to square up the face of a tikka to have a larger mating face to the action. I had a couple done but just ran shouldered barrels. Would a PVA prefit and barrel nut would still work?

A barrel nutted one would work but many people use tikkas cuz you can get shouldered profits for them, their actions are that good on headspace spec. Heck my t3x barrel headspaced correctly on my tikka m595 action!
