Yup, this will work with any t3x action, which is what a 223 ctr is.

Would I need some kind of mag adapter, or just the 223 CTR mags? I read somewhere someone posted that the CTR and t3x aren't interchangeable, that they bolt up to the chassis differently?

All you need is the 223 CTR mags.

The only difference is the rail. You have to remove the CTR rail and use the one that comes with the TAC A1.

$540 for the chassis is a smoking good deal. I'd be all over this if I didn't already have two of them.
