Recently purchased a Tikka Tac A1. It’s running great as one would expect except for an issue with the last round

I’ve run 140gr elds. 140gr VLDs and 147gr Elds.

The last round can’t make the transition into the barrel. I pushed upnon the mag and can feel that there is some play at the very front and if I apply upward pressure to the front of the mag, the last round feeds smoothly

Is there a way to adjust the mag fitnand get the front to lock up further in the magwell?

I have had the same issue, as have many others. People have talked about modifying the magazines, either the cutout for the release catch or the spring, but that hasn't worked for me. No reply from Beretta customer service. It's a big problem, in my opinion, for what otherwise would be a stellar rifle.

See this video for one fix, and he links to another one:

I've got a CTR in 7-08. I've bent out the mag catch cutout in the mag as my mag would drop out of the rifle, that solved that problem. Wouldn't feed smoothly so I bent the mag spring which solved the feeding issues except for the last round. The tip of the projectile on the last round feeds straight into the vertical face at the bottom of the feed ramp. Haven't had time to investigate further but may end up blending the feed ramp to remove the small vertical face at the bottom. I've got a heap of Tikka's in different chassis and stocks and none have issues feeding from any AICS style mags. 223, 6 Dasher, 7-08, 7mm RSAUM. I'll post back here when I get it sorted.

Dino, I didn’t have the other issues, but yes what you described for the last round is exactly the issue I’m having.
Since it’s only the last round I would think it to be a spring tension issue, but I can push up on the front of the mag and I have 1/8”-1/4” of upward play at the front of the mag, so I’m thinking the issue is it’s just locking up to low in the magwell
