Time to Upgrade Rifle Scopes

I shoot NRL22 at the club level and am generally mid pack when I am on my game and don't shoot a "WTF Were You Thinking ?" Stage...
I have a Vortex Strike Eagle with an EBR7C reticle on my Tikka right now and budget in the $ 2k to $ 2.5K range on a nice piece of glass.
Current Thoughts are:
Nightforce NX8 4-32x50 Mil-XT
Zeiss LRP S3 425-50
or a Vortex Razor Gen II 4.5-27X56
I should look at an Athlon Cronus, but I haven't seen one in the wild in a long time.

I’d get a used 5-25 atacr , minox 5-25 or stretch the budget and get a 7-35 atacr or 527 zco

I’ve seen lightly used 7-35 for $2800. They can focus closely also

I'll put a barrel on the Tikka action before I do a RimX or Vudoo.
I know that's going against the grain, but I see a lot of RimX and Vudoos that have been rebarreled already. That may just be the "I have too much disposable income" folks throwing $$$ at a problem that doesn't exist.
I've shot several of each and they are great guns as along as they feed and eject.
Since pretty much everyone offers a chassis in T1X footprint ( Or T3X Footprint that's easily modified ) now, there's not a huge advantage in the 700 SA Footprint.

In an NRL22/PRS Rimfire setting, I'm curious, what shots are you missing inside 300 yds that are due to the Strike Eagle?

Have you considered the Burris XTR Pro? Good glass, and packed with plenty of features you’ll appreciate for NRL22.
20 yd minimum parallax
5.5-30-56
capped windage turret
12MILS per rotation (so one full crank and change to get to 300 yds)
zero stop
great FOV
SCR2 reticle is great. All the info you need for holding over and wind, but not cluttered
Race turret w/ white board for those troop line stages

I swap'd out my Razor Gen III for a TRACT Toric and am VERY happy with it. The reticle is perfect if you don't like a really thick, busy reticle. Did a review.

On your list the Zeiss is definitely gonna be the top dog. After that I would take a hard look at the Burris XTR3, Pro, or possibly Steiner T6.

Watched the video and on the zero stop could you just get your zero and then dial .5 mils below that and set it to stop there? Or is there something on the outer dial that stops it? If it's only the internal it should work as the knob doesn't know where your zero is or how you set the knob on. I did that with PST Gen IIs and works fine.

Hmmmm...Not sure Rob01. I'm using it for 22lr matches and if we shoot say a 35yd target (which is about as short as we'll go in our matches), I'm just holding whatever my kestrel tells me to hold low.

Yeah it’s usually not more than .2 mils from 50 yard zero but just wondering for those looking at the scope of it could be done. If you can set that ring wherever you want it should work.

yeah I was thinking that too, but you'd want to play with it to make sure the zero indication on the scope is really the zero. I may play around with it one of these days.

Yup definitely want to make sure it was a good zero but then you could just dial .5 below, take off outer cap, set zero stop to stop there, put cap back on making sure that you put it on .5 below 0 on the indicator and then dial to 0 and you are zeroed. Should work. Will be interesting to hear your results after it’s tried. The Tract looks like an interesting scope. I like the reticle too.
