Timney 510 Trigger Question..

About to order a Timney 510 for my 700 SPS Tactical (.308). I plan on ordering direct from Timney and you can select the trigger weight. Any suggestions? 2.5lbs, 3.0lbs?

I like 3.5 - 4. Personal preference, but IMO its a good balance between positiveness and safety. Not so heavy as to bump sight picture, but not gonna get set off by a light breeze.

2.5 is a good choice.

2 pounds for me is good off the bench and a little light for hunting, however I just have to
remember that out in the field and I do fine.

Thanks guys! Since I will be doing some hunting with this rifle, I believe I will go with the 2.5lb. I'm sure it will be much better than the factory X-Mark Pro

I got mine set at 1.5 but it depends what you are comfortable with

That was the first thing I got rid of was the X Pro.
