All of the 79 families at Nightforce Optics want to take a moment and say “Thank You” to all of our customers at Sniper’s Hide. Our success and growth in the market is possible because of you. In these troubled economic times, we are reminded – daily – that we are in a position of strength solely due to our dedicated work force, the quality of product, and YOU, our customer. You have allowed us to grow well beyond 20% per year over the past several years. As for 2011, we have experienced an even greater percentage of growth.
With this growth comes various challenges. One of these challenges is the ability to deliver our products to the market in a timely manner while maintaining our quality standards – the standards that, above all else, you expect from us.
Over the last few months we are frequently asked: “Why does it take so long to get a scope from you guys?” The answer is relatively simple. We are NOT going to ship inferior quality product(s) for the sake of shipping product fast or for making a few extra dollars at the end of each month. Nightforce Optics success has not been achieved by shipping to a dollar driven end-of-month goal or standard. It is only driven by the ability to ship product that meets our rigorous quality assurance standards. Hence, our capacity to manufacture and ship excellent product is indeed finite.
The demand for our product is at an all-time high. Production is at an all-time high. Quality is at an all-time high. Yet availability remains “limited”. However, product is readily available at one of our over 300 dedicated “Stocking Dealers”. However, should the dealer order a new scope today, their order would have a six month lead time to fulfill and ship said new scope order. Several of our top performing “Stocking Dealers” advertise and promote on Sniper’s Hide. These dealers have Nightforce Optics riflescopes ready to ship.
Nightforce Optics is currently behind schedule in shipping our NXS 3.5-15x50 F1 riflescopes to our “Stocking Dealers”. This is due to us releasing several new front focal plane reticle designs this year. All are illuminated. These new designs are pushing our vendor’s manufacturing capabilities with today’s currently available technology. We are pushing the technology envelope. However, we will deliver, and our customers will be serviced. We sincerely regret the delays; but “quality” is driving Nightforce Optics – not a time line.
So, what are we doing to improve the situation at hand? Great question! We have just completed our new construction addition, incorporating an additional 10,000 square foot facility. We have employed additional staffing in production, engineering, machining, customer service, and administration – and we will continue to add to our production staffing. We are constantly improving our processes, methodology, and flow. We are working diligently with our vendors to help manage current and future demand. We are focused on long-term business growth – not just meeting today’s business expectations.
To all of our customers that own Nightforce Optics riflescopes and gear, we extend our sincere “Thanks” to each and every one of you. You have made it possible for us to achieve. To all of our naysayers from the past, present, and into the future, we “Thank You”, too, for helping us remain committed to proving that we can, and will continue to, design, manufacture, and ship the best quality riflescopes and accessories on the market today.
