When they were shooting the Mosin Nagant, they switched to a shot of the bullet exiting the muzzle in slow motion.

Did anyone else notice that the muzzle was actually a from a Springfield 1903?

Seems to me that the "technical advisors" should be knowledgable about what the firearms are supposed to look like?

I also think the show is kind of lame in the regards that they were trying to compare "battle rifles". How do you include an M1 Carbine in with full power battle rifles?

Not impressed with the show and their lack of expertise on firearms.

Yep, and after doing the bit on the M14 they did the recap showing a pic of the M1 carbine.

Huh, what?

Re: Top Guns

Okay....

Tried to watch the next episode of Top Guns and had to turn it off.

No disrespect intended towards the "experts".... Thank you for your service.

The "facts" touted by this show and its participants need to be checked and corrected. Who are the so-called technical advisors anyway??? How about getting someone with some REAL knowledge before you attempt a show like this?

To say that the BAR is accurate at 1500yds? With a 30-06 and fired from an open bolt with iron sights?????

And how about not understanding why the shots from the Steyr AUG were striking low on the 20yd target just after you zeroed the weapon at 100yds??? HELLOOOOOOO! Blaming it on the trigger. Have you never done any CQB shooting and have to compensate for the distance between your scope and the bore at close range?

And you take a P90 and only shoot it at 16yds, and think its a "tack driver"???? I doubt you would have even hit the target at 100 yds after zeroing at 16yds.

Why do you think you can compare these things equally??? Its like comparing apples to oranges. All (3) cartridges have (3) different power levels and were designed for (3) different criteria???

It would have been a good show if they had just gotten their stuff together.

To me... It just another mis-informed waste of time.

Re: Top Guns

I liked how they talked smack about the AUG's sights, then used the P90 with a rail and red dot.

Also they only shot the BAR full auto, despite claiming all three are automatics. Lame.

Re: Top Guns

I like the fact that they talk a little more about the guns, but as in the show they re-use shots, then over use those shots. And half of them are from a different gun. They are probably desperate to fill up air time and don't care if anyone who knows about those guns can call them on their mistakes through the screen. Overall I like it because I get to see guns on tv. I usually watch it while cleaning my guns anyway so its a win win.

Re: Top Guns

One correction I'd like to make about the bullet points they printed on Top Guns:

They misunderstood me about the Force Recon aspect of my Marine Corps service. I had told them I went into the corps to go to Force Recon, but ended up going to the Navy to be a SEAL. So they printed up U.S.M.C. Force Recon on the show, which was an error. Anyone who knows me knows I have never claimed that, ever. It's an unfortunate mistake, but the production is already done. I just wish I would have caught that before they aired he show.
