I went and saw it today with my son.

I have to say it is one of the best movies that I have seen in many years. The special effects and the futuristic city scenes (is this cinematography?)are outstanding. I would (and might)go back tomorrow just to hear a few parts that I did not understand (getting old sucks).

Kate Beckinsale does a fantastic job as does Jessica Biel. Neither are hard to look at either.

This is one movie that I am glad I went to see at the theatre! I will say that I enjoyed it more than the original.

Thats exactly what I thought. Good show.

Re: Total Recall

It's actually pretty damned good. It has its silly moments, but Beckinsale steals the show by far. Her character is friggin' ruthless and relentless. The visual effects are top notch too (by London's Double Negative mostly) with environments that are so massive and detailed that it makes me cringe to think of the man-hours needed to complete them.

Re: Total Recall

GF and I saw it yesterday. We both enjoyed it. I was hoping for a little bit of humor, just something to break the tension, there were plenty of opportunities. They made a serious action flick for sure, and I can always use more Kate.

Yeah, there was that, discovering his original identity apt, that sort of thing. But it's not out of place. I didn't immediately think "they did that in Bourne".
