What kind of shooting shelf did you fabricate for your tower stand to shoot deer at long distance? I am thinking about some kind of fold down shelf. Figure I may keep it folded up when getting in the stand and folding it down when I am set-up in my chair. Pictures are worth a thousand words.

Another thing you can try is to cut a 2x4 or 1x4 to just fit between then front shelf and the rear of the blind - store in the corner, use this to steady the "chicken wing".

Also, bring your shooting sticks to the blind, you can use those to steady the aft end of the rifle for those longer shots.

We have rough cut 1x8's cut long enough to go from side to side (window ledge to window ledge) and at a pretty good angle if needed. Bags front and back, goodly stable. Our towers are 4ft wide 8 ft long, shooting windows swing up and sit on prop sticks on all sides. Three shooters can sit fairly comfy on the 3 bar stools. Doesn't take any effort to get set up regardless the angle of the shot.
