I recently purchased an M6-140 takedown by TPS Arms. It's an over under break barrel (22 Hornet / .410). Similar to the military M6 but with a lot of improvements.
I've been combing the web for any info on choosing a scope for this kind of weapon and I'm finding nothing.
Max yards : 100 to 125
FOV : 32 or 40? Depends on what you suggest with shotgun use. I can drop to fixed sites under 50.
Power: fixed w/ +/- eye adjustment
Survival hunting use.
Picatinny rail mount
Cost: This weapon wont be used. It's a bugout bag add. I'm retired so cheaper the better with basic qualities to get me through an apocalypse. (LOL) I'll get it on the paper and then put it away. The only reason I hang on to that bag is it holds all my old USMC gear. The only thing it was missing was a shoulder weapon.
My initial thought was a compact 4x32 with a red dot (reflex) on top of the see thru mount. Use the red dot for bird hunting - shotgun, scope for the Hornets and 410 slugs, and steel sights for backup. The mounts I've chosen have a rail for the red dot.
Thanks in advance for any help!
