Looking at a tract ELR to shoot 300 prc 1500+ but I can’t really afford the alpha tier scopes at well above 2k. The 160 moa on the 5x25 is appealing. Had my hand at some above 1k scopes which are very nice(Burris xtr III and Leupold mark 4HD.) Came across Tract hear get a lot for the money and very nice glass. I could maybe eventually step but to a nx8 4-32 but that would absolutely be about it. unless it’s clearly needed or worth it I’m liking what I hear about the tract.

Or a xtr pro if it’s clearly better too is an option. Around same money. What I’m getting at is if the tract elr is similar enough to these options I’m feeling it since I like variety.

I rolled the Toric Eagleman reticle series while at Barbour Creek. Loved the scopes. Great features and excellent glass for the price point. I purchased one off Amazon (TORIC UHD 4-25X50 34mm FFP MOA with Eagleman LRH Reticle) and it should be here Wed for a rifle I've built for PRS.

I also have the NX8 4-32 and it's great as well. Once I have the two side-by-side I can tell you a bit more. I don't recall a single thing I did not like about the Tract with the possible exception of the weight. On a 6GT that already weighs 7+ lbs just in the barrel, it won't matter much. You'd save a 1/2 lb with the NF...

I’d be very interested in a comparison I’m sure they are close it’s possible the nx8 is a hair better just do I want or need it is all. Thanks for the reply I’ll look out for a comparison .

The Tract ELR 4-25 is a nice scope. I have one on my match 6.5 Creedmoor. It has a ton of elevation as you know so if the price works for you then get one. Another similar scope and around the same or maybe a little more is the Zeiss S3 4-25 which has about the same amount of elevation. It’s also worth a look.
