Anyone have some miles on their flagship model. Have not yet had a chance to get behind one. Considering the tract, another Bushnell DMR II, or Athlon Ares ETR.
I actually have all three optics. Of the three the Tract is my favorite hands down. The Tract has the best glass of the three as well as the best turrets and controls. The magnification ring on my Bushnell is so tight it is impossible to turn it without moving your rifle. The Tract doesn’t have as much elevation but more than enough. For the money it is a hard optic to beat.
I don’t have the 5-25 Midas Tac but I have a 6-24. The glass in the ETR is better but the difference isn’t dramatic. I’ve never really sat down and compared the two side by side however.
I have both the Tract, and ETR, and the Tract is overall the better of the two. The glass and controls are comparable, but the Tract went on my .223 due to limited elevation. No experience with the DMR, but I cant imagine you having any regrets with either the ETR or Tract.
I have an ETR and DMR2, and I'll go Bushnell every time. ETR may have a tiny edge in glass clarity, but the DMR2 wins out in bomb proof tracking, turret feel, reticle, eyebox, and non-finicky parallax.
I really like my DMR but I just can’t get past the stiff magnification ring. You literally have to grab the scope with one hand and wrench on the magnification ring with the other. Turning it while you are on the gun isn’t happening. I was going to send it to bushnell but based on what I have heard they are all like that. How is yours?

Yes, mine has the throw lever on it. I have to push so hard on the throw lever I worry that it may eventually break. I was hoping it would loosen up but not yet. Just guessing I would say it takes 30-35 lbs of force to move it.
Personally I prefer the larger diameter turrets on the DMR but the turrets on the Tac are more tactile. If I had to pick the ones I like the best it would be the DMR turrets Behind the Tract.
