Just wanted to share some info with all of the Louisiana members looking to get into some good training classes.
I got the opportunity to take Gunfighter 1 as well as Carbine 1 courses offered by The Advantage Group. The students ranged from civilians who have no formal training to LE personnel.
Pretty basic stuff in the courses but there were things in there for every experience level that made you push your comfort zone. Lots of duress shooting, shooting on the move, as well as non-traditional shooting positions. I really recommend anyone who has a CCW to take the Gunfighter 1 class.
Anyway, I figured I would post up the schedule for the remainder of the year. They offer some pretty good classes with reasonable rates.
July 14 & 15: In Extremis Medical - Hammond, LA - $220
Sept 15 & 16: Gunfighter II - Robert, LA - $300
Oct 13 & 14: Carbine II - Robert, LA - $300
OCT 27 & 28: Surviving Vehicular Ambushes - Robert, LA - $300
NOV 9-11: Viking Tactics Carbine 1.5, TBD - $700
NOV 17 & 18: Gunfighter I / Carbine I - Robert, LA $175/day, $300/both
