For those of you who wear your PC for certain workouts, what plates are you using with what carrier? Obviously you shouldn't be using your ballistic plates during training, especially if you have ceramic plates.

I used to use Rogue's flat weight plates in my JPC but due to the JPC's ESAPI-only love, wear spots started to form and the flat non-ESAPI shape metal took its toll. I since got rid of the old JPC (passed it onto my brother) and now looking to replace it with another. I like the minimalistic fit and maneuverability of the JPC during workouts so I'm getting another but want to get better/ESAPI curved weight plates.

I'm in the US so I was looking to buy in the US. There are a shit ton of places in the UK and AU/NZ that sell non-ballistic ESAPI training plates but the only place in the US that I've found is TW & WT. I was going to do what I did a while back and just buy the hollow plates and fill them with concrete or sand/lead but I just want to buy and be done. I don't need ballistic plates because I already have some and refuse to use them for fitness.

    Requirements:
    -Must be ESAPI Cut/Shape (Medium)
    -Min Weight: 5# Each
    -Max Weight: 10# Each
-Willing to just buy AR500 for the weight but they have to be SAPI/ESAPI shaped/curved

    So far it looks like:

-Team Wendy (each plate weighs 5#)
-Warrior Trail (each plate weighs 5.5#)
    -...Who Else...

    Thanks!

Curious, why not use normal ballistic steel plates though? Added resistance?

I thought about using them, but the JPC gets iffy with non SAP/ESAPI plates, especially at the top corners which can lead to premature wear. The more expensive ones are formed a bit better and wear less but at that price range you’re looking at over 200 just for two weights. The one thing I do like about them is that they are heavier.

Honestly I also might be biased against them and never sat down to actually consider them as an option. That, and the cost is almost double that of ones that are designed for fitness. There are a bunch of ESAPI training weight plates abroad but it seems limited here unless I’m an idiot and not looking hard enough.

As for the ones in the link, I didn’t see them earlier (shit internet here) but I also didn’t see a note saying they are curved. Flat plates are a bitch in a PC.

Fuck it, I'm going to try the curved rogue plates (rogue cast weight vest plates). They have to be better than their other style of flat plate.
