Travel for Bash from DFW area

[Strickland]

This will be my first rodeo down on the coast. How do most people from the DFW area get there? looks like flying SWA could get me there for under $200, but there is the hassle of having to pack all the crap. I've always just filled up the back of the truck.

Looking for ideas here!

You can make it in 7 1/2 hours on the road. We just load the trucks and head down.

It's not a bad drive at all, this will be my 4th trip down there, Strickland I can fly for free but I always drive to RO.

Instead of going through Austin and San Antonio, take the tollway turnoff just N of Goergetown that goes around Austin to 183 South. It cuts off a lot of time and no one is on the raod (when you don't miss your turns!!).
