Are there any resources for a tutorial on the Tremor3 for the layman? I've watched Todds videos, but they do get a bit jargony at times.

    Anything specific you’re looking for?

    To calibrate wind dots:

    Turn off spin drift
Look at your range card for your measured atmospherics and find the 4mil mark
    Plug that range in
Plug in a full value 90 degree wind
Change the wind value until the hold is as close to .95 as possible at the above calculated range
    Divide by 2.

That is the estimated value for each wind dot.

    Example:

6creed at 3100 fps G1 BC of .536 and 2500 DA would be 4 mil elevation hold of about 725yds

Plug in 725 yds, 90 degree wind and find the closest to a .95 mil wind hold. Close to 8mph.

That is then calibrated for the 4th mil on the vertical and the second wind dot on the horizontal.

Cut that in half = 4mph and you have a solution of approximately 4mph for every wind dot.

If you go somewhere with significantly higher elevation or density altitude, you need to calibrate again.

From my perspective, do not make it more complex than it needs to be. T-3 is a mathematical genius. The only odd variables (compared to Hourus) are wind (is wind). There are some great videos to download, but think about it this way: H-3 is the evolution of all that is needed to send a 21 yo Marine out into the wild and kill.
