Trigger Fitting for a Magnum Mauser

This is my .338 Lapua Magnum Brevex Mauser, serial number 040. It remains unfired owing to the failure of its Canjar single set trigger. The Brevex is a one of a kind action that is larger and longer than any M98 pattern Mauser action made now or in the past. I am looking for advice on replacing its trigger. a Magnum Mauser

What’s wrong with modify the original trigger? They can be made quite good by the right smith. Nothing wrong with the trigger on my H&H Magnum Mauser 375H&H belted Mag.

Or maybe contact Stuart Satterlee. He may be making a trigger that fits. Or could suggest who does.

The striker refuses to stay cocked. Not a good look.

Ok. Depending where in the country (I presume USA) you are there are a number of good Mauser gunsmiths that should be able to fix your problem.

Try Paul and Sharon Dressel in WA. I have heard they make a good Mauser trigger. And custom gunmakers. So may answer any specific issues with that magnum action.
