OK, first I want to make it clear that my quotes of <span style="font-style: italic">TOM T</span> are not meant as a "call out" - I am merely quoting a statement (and fact) that is often made. Nothing more, nothing less.
Now, I saw TOM T's post containing what I've quoted and paraphrased yesterday, and I wasn't going to say anything, but in the interest of the edification of anyone reading this post I feel it is my duty to set the record straight. Hence this post of mine that you are reading.
There is a lot of good info over at RFC, but there is also BS and mis-information, especially concerning 10/22s'. This is in large part due to paid advertisers - as the advertisers have a hand at the table and influence what is posted there, what stays posted, and what is removed when they don't like it. Many fanboys love to attack without intelligent - or other, discussion. This post is made in the hope that 10/22 neophytes don't fall under the influence of the minions or drink the Kool-Aide.

Not <span style="font-style: italic">all</span>. As I stated there is a lot of good info over at RFC, but there there is also BS and mis-information. Say something that the paid advertisers don't like and you may find yourself attacked by fanboys, your posts deleted, and/or posts sanitized and verbal attacks on you deleted after the thread is locked. You may have a moderator take a cheap shot at you and then have the thread locked so that you cannot reply. All have happened to me and others at RFC.
Then you may be <span style="font-style: italic">"passively banned"</span>. The way a "passive ban" works is that the server assigns your <span style="font-weight: bold">User Name</span> the lowest possible request priority, which places you in an endless waiting que, freezing the page. You can sit there all day and night and the page never changes. You know that you have been passively banned if the web site and links work fine before you sign-in, but then you get timeout-outs and the site page freezes after sign-in. This ahs also happened to me and others at RFC.
I was verbally attacked by multiple posters who had no argument to what I wrote about
<span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">10/22 barrel droop</span></span> and the best methods of eliminating it while improving reliability and consistency of the 10/22. The attackers were not able to debate anything I said, so they just bashed me. Several posters actually thanked me for my "informative and thoughtful" posts at RFC, and some concurred with my posts, citing their own experiences.
Several threads that I had posted-in were locked and "doctored", removing my attackers insults and taunts to make it appear as if they hadn't done anything wrong, and I was passively banned. Nice.
If anyone takes the (considerable) time to actually read what I said they will see that I was outright calm in all my responses. Of course, the insults leveled at me are gone so my calm perseverence cannot be appreciated. One of the fanboys seems to have followed me over here, always trying to deflect what I've said and actually done without answering any questions asked directly of him/her.
I apologize for my digression, but as I said I feel it is my duty to set the record straight. I now return you to the topic of 10/22 triggers'...

Keith, first off I want to say that I don't feel "called out" and don't have any hard feelings.
I think your post was informative about RFC. But I personally have had a great experience with RFC and I want to put in my 2 cents and back up what I said.
My statement : "RFC has more information on a 10/22 than you could dream of."
This is certainly true imo. There are pages and pages of posts on almost anything and everything you could possibly mod on a 10/22. And most is spot on.
My statement : "All of those guys are solid and will steer you in the right direction."
I understand I wrote the word "All" and that is usually a bad idea. I should have said "most" or "almost all."
Obviously you have had a bad experience with RFC. And I am sorry for that. I respect what you said because that is your opinion. I, on the other hand, have had no problems whatsoever with them.
My time on RFC was great and I got a great deal of info, and still highly recommend RFC to anyone wanting info on a 10/22. And this is based solely on my personal experience.
I think we had two very different experiences and I just wanted to let Bluejazz and anyone else know my side.
I value your opinion and hope I came across in the same manner as you did to me.
~ TOM
P.S. I agree there are fanboys on the site, but there are fanboys almost everywhere. </div></div>
Tom, all points well taken. I appreciate your comment about my opinion and yes you have come across the same way. Respectfully so. Good times!
