Rifle Scopes Trijicon Accupoint 5-20x50

I have a Trijicon 1-4x and I really dig it. It's the perfect optic for my AR.

I like it so much that I'm considering an Accupoint 5-20x50 with Mildot Green Reticle for my LTR.

Does anyone have one of these? Is the glass as high quality as their other stuff? How is the elevation range? How are the turrets?

Thanks

Re: Trijicon Accupoint 5-20x50

I was talking with a Trijicon Rep last week and he seemed to think that they might be releasing a version with Mil turrets on it next year to match the mil-dots, perhaps at Shot Show.

I liked the scope he had. I really like my Trijicon ACOGs, but have not bought a variable from them yet.

The 1-4x with Green Triangle is a really good scope (really good), but I'm not sure that a close range AR scope translates to a full blown tactical scope for a precision rifle.

I would get one with all haste, but I just bought the 1-4x, and I bought a tactical scope for my rifle not 2 months ago, and I don't have the cash to go spend right now. I may go ahead and get one down the road a bit, but spending almost $2500 on scopes in a short span may not sit well with the wife (never mind the rifles and various other firearms related stuff of late).

Re: Trijicon Accupoint 5-20x50

They are nice but Trijicon screwed up. There is a limited amount of internal travel even though it has a 30mm tube. Looks like they didn't do their homework.

Re: Trijicon Accupoint 5-20x50

IMHO, no they are not worth it.

I got to play with one at a demo a couple weeks back. The optics are clear, but there are better scopes available for the same money.

The Rep that was at the demo stated that he did not believe Trijicon would make a Mil/Mil version unless they got a large military or government order.
