On my RRAs coyote 20" Flat top. Is the Trijicon 2.5x10x56 too big for this rifle.I use this bad ass rifle for NV coyotes. Or IOR 2.5x10x42MM with MP-8 reticule just right. Currently have a Bushnell 6500 elite 2.5x16 x50 nice scope but bump it lightly and its POI is off.

Re: Trijicon is it top big

Oh maybe 250 -300 yds .I don't want to spend more then $800 bucks. I want a tougher scope then the Elite 6500.Storing the rifle in a hard case driving 5 hours on highway there is a 50/50 chance scope might be bumped out of adjustment.

Re: Trijicon is it top big

I've never seen an IOR, but I was unimpressed with a demo model of the Trijicon that I saw at my local shop/range. Felt like pastic, and the bottom post of the reticle was almost as thick as the mildots on it. I suppose it may not have been an excellent example, but still . . .

However, I've never looked through an ACOG that I wasn't impressed with, so take that as you will.

Reticle-wise, I'd say IOR. I love that MP-8. I just "pulled the trigger" on an SS 3-9x42 for my AR, and the only thing that kept me from getting the IOR 2.5-10x42 was the price. College/life ain't cheap these days!

Re: Trijicon is it top big

I can see things nice and clear at 10 yards and I have the mildot. But if we are strictly comparing the Trijicon to the IOR... take the IOR hands down. I like the Mp-8 reticle a lot. Only downside is the IOR costs nearly double the Accupoint.

I have the Trijicon an a bolt gun. Its my go to gun if I need low light performance. I have the amber triangle and haven't had any issues in the 200-300 yard range and POI doesn't shift. Try one out you might be impressed.
