Tripod adapter for Leica CRF series rangefinders

It's been a while since this was discussed so I'm wondering if anyone has found a tripod mount that they really like for the Leica?

I'm on the fence with the $98 version from Leica. Just rubs me the wrong way that I should have to pay an extra $100 when they could/should have a 1/4" threaded adapter built into the body of the rangefinder.

I found this one on Amazon. I like that it encircles the unit. And it will work for the 2800.com.

I went the cheap route and picked up a $20 3D printed adapter on ebay. It works fine for my needs and it has a dovetail so it sits nicely in my RRS leveling base.

3d printed tripod mounts for the Leica Rangemaster 1200/1600/2000/2200/2400/2800/3500 rangefinders. They have a 1/4"-20 brass thread insert to mount to the tripod and slip over the rangefinder. They are Arca-Swiss compatible as well.

I’ve been on the hunt for a good mount - Really Right Stuff has indicated that they are ready to produce a mount (guessing similar to the SIG mount) but they are waiting for machine scheduling for production.

Did you mount it to a dovetail, if so which, not sure how the holes at the bottom line up?

I'm using this same Leica tripod mount. I put this dovetail on the bottom for the Arca attachment to my tripod. Amazon is your friend.
