Im wanting to setup several of my rifles for direct mount (arca swiss) to my tripod, but want to be able to remove them if im not shooting on the pod.
What's the best way to go about this?
I was thinking about putting anschutz rails in them. That way it could be easily removed and the anschutz rail would be flush and wouldn't interfere with shooting off bags or off hand.
I don't have any rifles with anschutz rails and have no experience with them either.
But didn't want a arca swiss rail permanently hanging and want to easily remove it. The stocks of these guns will be fiberglass, wood, and carbon.
Is there another method that's being used? Is this a good idea? Do anschutz rails weaken stocks? Are anschutz rails sturdy enough for my application?

Lots of good chassis systems with discreetly built in rails. What type of stock do you want/have?

    Just an FYI:
Anshutz rails should be the UIT spec, but be careful to verify when ordering as it's often incorrectly used as a catch all phrase for those rails. There are actually a few different rail sizes. Matching accessories to your rail can suffer from the same catch all naming issue. Not a big deal once you know your specs, but something to keep in mind every time you order.

    Also. Check out this thread.

There’s a link to a inletable mlok rail specifically for what you want to do

    Yes this is perfect.

So many options. Then I found this. Quick release arca for a anschutz inlet

Or if you are using RRS tripod head that will mount to picatinny. You could use the inlet m lok and this quick release picatinny
