Troy Industries MRF 308 Battle Rail

Re: Troy Industries MRF 308 Battle Rail

I have one for my DPMS LR, and have 2 others on AR15's.

Weight is about middle of the pack for rails.

They are well made.

They have one drawback on a precision rifle using a bipod, and the longer they are the worse they get...

They are 2 piece (top and bottom) and when you get a bipod (or tight sling on the off side) on the front end and twist (like leveling up the rifle) they flex slightly.... makes it hard to level it up, as it springs back.

I tighten mine up by taking a center punch and displacing a little metal on all the attachment tabs on the bottom rail half. It helps a bunch, but you still have a little flex. I've thought about adding a couple of screws in the front to make them more rigid, but haven't got around to it yet.

But.... it is the only rail that has the longer length I want (13+") AND flush cups all over.
