Re: Trust question.
The ATF has boxes and boxes in their records but I don't know if they will dig through their archives and send you a copy of a copy of the trust you sent with the Form 4. Call the NFA brranch and find out.
Also you can simply restate (basically a revision) a trust but keep the SAME trust title you used on the original. That is, if your trust was called Badass Trust, make a new trust also called Badass Trust and state on the new trust that it was restated on the date the new one was written. If you make a new trust under another name, its considered a different entity and now you have NFA items on two different trusts. My first can was done on a freebie trust the dealer provided. Down the road I had a lawyer restate my trust. It automatically supercedes the old document.
Your trust is a living document. You can update it and modify it any time you want by adding items, swapping beneficiaries and trustees, etc. It isn't a public document so you don't have to notify anyone every time you revise it.
