IMO it is unlikely that you can lump .9 to 1.2 all together. And length is possibly just as relevant as diameter. I'm sure few would adopt my approach but they can benefit from my observations.
I was quite uncertain of what to do regarding adding weight or not to my Harrell on my 22 inch Kukri. Here is what I did. Starting at zero I shot groups every 25 clicks(one revolution) all the way to 500. I plotted group size and group center elevation. I found a couple broad ranges that tended to be tighter and higher. I did this bare tuner and with two different weights added. Comparing the three options I could see one was better overall and likely zones for further testing were equally apparent.
For the more "ammo sensitive" among you that is over three hundred rounds and I'm likely to use another 200 to find and prove the final tune. The good news is that I now have over 96K rounds through my Vudoo 360 and I have never once wondered if I am am using a sub optimal tuner weight.
