Tuning a muzzle brake

So I'm right handed and all my rifle barrels are right hand twist, so twisting slightly clockwise on the brake works.
Is it different for a left hand shooter with the rh twist? Or just the twist drives the force the same?

I want to supprise a lefty with a gift clocked at least close.
