turn a pvs-7 into a 14?

can one take the tube and guts out of a pvs7 and put it into a pvs14 body?

Im no NV engineer but I have used them extensively (and stayed at a holiday inn last night)...

I really dont see this being an option.

the tube between a pvs-7 and 14 should be the same if it is a mx-10160 tube. you would not be able to use much else but possibly the objective lens assembly. you would need to acquire the battery housing/switch assembly for a 14 whether it be single or dual batt doesnt really matter. i would pm cj7hawk here on the hide and /or nightvision forums. he will send you in the right direction.

7s and 14s use different tubes. The 7b uses a larger tube then the one that the 14 uses.
