Does anyone on here know if turrets can be added to Leupold scopes that don't have exposed turrets? I really like some of the VX-R scopes and would like to use one on my mid-range rifle (.308, for 800 yards and under), but I want one with tactical or target turrets on it. I really like the reticle choices, and the Fire Dot concept, but they don't make one with a usable reticle with external knobs (the TMR reticle on the Patrol scopes looks like it has hair all over it or something when your target is out there a ways). Before I try to muddle through Leupold Customer Support, has anyone ever run across this topic before?

A standard VXr can be upgraded to the CDS, or Patrol turrets. I have a 2-7 german 4 (metric) and upgraded to a Patrol elevation /mil.
The turret is great for hunting, as it is external but low profile.
You may be able to get other i/e m1 or m3, but I like the low profile.
options are zero stop or non, but zero stop only gets one turn as it stops at zero in both directions.
