got the brake installed, thought id show some pix of the process.
got her setup and trued, didnt want to recrown the bbl, so we went w the steady rather than a center. lathe is a bit short to turn the 28"bbl between centers as well
cuttin the threads
finished pix
first shot..after reaming the exit hole .020 over bore diameter, lookin, guagin, prayin, burnin incense. i know im gonna flinch...wow! recoil was nonexistent w a 250gr lapua lock base and 85g of h4831ssc. id rate this brake as fantastic. i picked the holland radial brake because it had a few good reviews, and holland was the only company i talked to who would give me the exit hole dimensions. i am very impressed. today mebbe ill chrony/and pressure test her, get a 100yd zero. friday its off to the 1k range at mifflin!!!!
hopin for 2900fps or so w the 250s we will see
enjoy! and any machining advise or feedback would be appreciated!
