I reload 22-250, 223, and 6.5 creedmoor. Want to get a depriming die but idk if one die will cover that range of cartridge. Or should I get 2, a heavy duty for the 6.5?
Thanks in advance

Last year a certain case brand was causing my depriming pins to break with disheartening regularity. I bought a dedicated decapping die with stronger pins, but even that didn't completely solve the issue. I ended up buying a Harvey Deprimer, and I've never looked back.

Why I like it:

- I don't have to stand at the press to deprime
- The "pins" are rock solid - I have yet to damage one
- I can deprime when on a phone call, watching TV, etc.
- I don't put dirty cases into my press
- Once you get the hang of things, it's as quick and easy as a press (and better than other hand deprimers out there)
- I can take it to the range and deprime there if I so desire

What's wrong with the Lee Depriming die?
Nothing other than the .07 decapping pin when trying to use it on the european style .062 flash holes. It can be sanded/ground down though to fit with a little time and patience. I just bought an additional redding decapper that comes with the small pin. I still use both dies though.

It looks dumber than shit, but works like a friggin charm. Can be adjusted easily for any size case. I thought they were a gimmicky little POS's until I was up PD shooting at a buddy's house in MT, and needed to deprime the day's ample PD spent brass (600+ rds that day) and my buddy told me to try it. I bought one that evening to have shipped back home.

Best $40 I ever spent. Now, when I get home from the range, the spent brass ammo boxes get set on the coffee table, and that evening, while watching TV, I just go through and deprime everything while drinking a beer and watching the boob tube...

I bought a Lee Decapping Die many many years ago. Once I got into cartridges with a small flash hole, I just turned it down to .055”

You can stick it in a lathe or a drill and hit it with a file. Zero issues in a TON of 47Lapua, 556 & 6mmCM.

I just got my FA hand deprimer a few weeks back so I wouldn't have to run my 338LM brass through the press with the Lee Universal Decapper in place.

While the Lee works, and I put it in station 1 on my progressive presses to ensure flash holes are clear before priming, the handheld FA deprimer is so much faster and, as you noted, can be used anywhere.

For small batches of brass that get processed and loaded on my single stage I'll be using this going forward instead of the single stage to deprime.

I would really take a look at the FW Arms Auto-Center decapper. It is quickly proving to be the best die. I designed it, and I also manufacture it. I will also put this up against the MA die any day of the week and be confident it will blow it away.

Bringing up the dead. I am having to build up my reloading set up after suffering a theft earlier this year. I am replacing everything with my wishlist. As such, what is the consensus on the best option. Will be reloading everything from 9mm to 450 BM . I also run Lapua brass for a couple of match rifles.
Thanks in advance for the feedback.
