If you notice, and are old enough to remember what out states looked like 45 50 years ago politically you can see the cancer spreads from major universities outward til it consumes its host. And the host pays for its own death, even sends their kids happily to become an infected carrier. Pulled this map from another thread but you can see same in the voting map of 2016.

Fuckin bastards - I bet the Founding Fathers would be turning in their graves knowing that we have so many universities and people earning large amounts of money working at the pinnacle of their chosen field, and then returning some of that money to their "community."

I plan on keeping my kids off books entirely by never letting them learn to read. Let's see the commies take their minds then!

The funny thing is that colleges 'back then' spread radical ideas like liberty... Harvard College was THE hotbed of revolution in 1776 and its students were all about the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Without the early colleges, the Northeast would not have seen a Revolution.

But since ideas take root there... Communism found fertile ground. Especially in the post-Vietnam era. Remember who stayed in college and got PhD's while everyone went off to fight in Vietnam? That's right... hippies, leftists, rich 'fortunate sons'... and now guess who is of a generation that they RUN the colleges and universities? Hire the professors. Approve the research. Appoint the department chairs. Approve the Curriculums....

Don't forget, too, that college tuitions are now all government-funded/guaranteed. Meaning... guess who gets to decide what get taught, studied, how money flows. And research... don't forget research dollars. You don't get a grant for studying Trickle-down Economics or that climate-change is not real.

College towns used to be great places to live. Lots of ideas, good food, events, etc. Now, they are just hotbeds of sedition and, frankly, shitholes, most of them.

If government would get out of the student loan business... and/or if loans were only given for subjects that we 'need' as a nation (ie STEM), then things might be different. But a High-school-indoctrinated idiot (indoctrinated by a teacher indoctrinated at a college), now gets a degree in Gender Studies, comes out with $100,000 in debt and the only place to get a job is... in the Government. Being an activist, bureaucrat and building a power base over manufactured 'gender crises' and BS like that.

Follow the money... Even communism takes money to spread.

Personally I don't like universities because they do create a definite line in the sand between people... I never made it through more than two classes and feel like my only chance at making real money is doing my own businesses.

Look at Fox/CNN side by side on two TVs and you will have an aneurism.
Politicians used to compromise but that ship seems to have sailed. And the politicians used to view themselves as public servants, which is what they are. Not any more, now they’re there to peddle their brand of BS and make their wallets bigger.

I went to college later in life (30 years old, and just before my GI Bill expired) and graduated with a bachelors degree in 2017. It was the most miserable experience of my life, and I live in Kansas, which most would consider pretty conservative... till you step on campus. Super liberal from students to the teachers. I got to witness first-hand how the re-educators spin so much history and facts.. It was unbelievable. I remember in 2015, while in economics class, mentioning Donald Trump running for President, and I nearly got laughed out of class...

Everyday I'd leave the house and tell my wife, "I'm headed to the most dangerous place on earth (gun free zone)." Or, "I'm heading out to the re-education camp, I should be home by 10:15 PM".

Think utilitarian. We just need their services. Just like the associate at the supermarket. Something is wrong with us? As long as they prescribe the necessary meds or do the necessary procedures, and we are back on our two feet and keeping on truckin', that is all that's needed. We don't need to be preached by them about political ideologies or how to live our lives the way they see is "fit".

Provide us with what we request, and you get paid. No, then we will go somewhere else and you don't get paid. Simple.

Of course, there are a lot of doctors, specialists, EMT's and many others who ARE pro-gun, pro-liberty and respect our country's principles. These folks we can befriend and talk to even outside of business. Everybody else, it is just business.

Once I was approached by a barista while enjoying my breakfast and she starting spouting off to me about how we need to "wake up and do something about these guns that are killing our kids" and that "people who do not listen are the causes of the problem". She probably recognized the Smith & Wesson decal on the duffel bag that I was carrying. I simply cut her off and responded with: "Personal political opinions are like penises. There is no problem with having them. Just don't whip it out in public and certainly don't play with it in front of me."

That is all. I never really gave a fuck about being blunt or crude at any time for as long as I'd known. And I was done ordering so I certainly did not have to worry about her spitting in my food back in the kitchen or some shit like that.

Yes. And I agree with @sirhrmechanic about STEM. The sciences are about the only topic I think you truly need college for and is more useful at addressing our infrastrucure problems than French literature.

However, even the sciences are crumbling (and have been for a long time) at the constant spray of liberal art protons. When I read about another herd of me-too victims forming a quasi therapy group to deal with chemistry I have to wonder how the fuck titrating a quadravalent acid is a different experience for someone with a different skin tone or sexual preference. I say it isn't, but it is an excellent basis on which to form an appeal for the shitty grade you just got. It's fucking science, not interpretive dance.

It was not fun (especially while working 45-50 hours a week), but it was worth it. It's also EXTREMELY enjoyable listening to other students complain about student loans and dept, while I'm actually netting real cash for going to school at the end of the day... And they could have too, but they simply chose not to serve. What's funny is when you explain to them the GI Bill, they look at you like, "That's not fair.." Almost like you received some sort of hand-out from the government, which is exactly that they are after... Super ironic.

I learned to lie really well in my "Diverse Women in Pop Culture" class...

former enlisted with a degree are worth 5 times an academy grad, go get your degree, choose where you spend my money though. Look up conservative universities before you enroll.

I make a lot of money, 90% of that is from what I learned about leadership in the Army as an NCO, but the 10% of it was because my degree opened up doors to the highest levels and I found others like me burrowed in corporate America, get the degree, we are looking out for you. waiting for you, but you need to take that step.

For those who are pursuing a specialty degree and have no choice but to wade through the filth that is "undergrad credits", play the gray man approach. Spend more time listening than speaking. Don't waste your time challenging or debating the nonsense that is spewed in those "required" classes. Just participate enough and write enough to pass the class and get it the fuck over with.

BUT...If you have the chance to TROLL the shit out of them, do it too. Discreetly and effectively. For example, in a heated session talking about the need for gun control, just drop in comments like: "Yes, I absolutely support taking away guns from the hands of civilians. Only professionals like police officers, soldiers and concentration camp guards should be allowed to have firearms." And here is another one: "I think (describe whatever leftist ideology being promoted at that time) should be implemented as the law of the land and anyone who disagrees should be arrested and sent to containment camps along with their families". Shit like that totally toss a wrench into the works and makes for epic laughs. If someone then challenges it, play it off like you totally mean what you said. Even more hilarious.
