I'm getting an average of 50 unwanted notifications a day , can anyone tell me why , they are subscriptions to threads I have never seen , I have never to date subscribed to a single thread , any help appreciated

Your control panel, Profile, User Settings, all of which YOU CONTROL has on and off switches for all this
you have a notification center, subscription area, all with the abilty to toggle them on and off.
I took two seconds to look into your profile and sure as shit you had EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS ON... not hard to see why you are getting emails. So I turned it off, I know hard ass shit to do, better to complain and let someone else figure it out than to look yourself.
You probably have subscriptions to posts and certain sections on too, but you can figure that out.
Pretty damn simple, go into your profile, into your user settings and turn the shit off

I didn't have a email issue , but thanks for the advice , I Found I was subscribed to the optics section , turned it off , must have accidentally touched the screen and didn't notice it , and wasn't smart enough to figure it out till I see your response , thank you sir
You ain't the only one. I get notified on every new For Sale post, which would've been great when I was buying guns like a lunatic. I've been thru my shit and still can't find a subscription or whatever in my settings that's causing it. It must just be us dumb Marines.
Bogey, Take a look here:
See where I have circled the + SUBSCRIBE button in red? Go to the For Sale Section and see that button. It will likely say UNSUBSCRIBE. Click on UNSUBSCRIBE.

Holy shit! Thanks man. I had to have inadvertently hit it when scrolling. Went all through the major settings but never tried that. Hopefully that will stop 100 new notifications if I miss a day on the forum.
