I currently have a Savage Mark II and a scope mounted to it. The glaring problem with it is that the comb is very low on the rifle, since it was originally designed to be shot with iron sights. What ends up happening is that I have more a chin-weld more than a cheek weld. Would it be worth the $90 plus the DIP bottom metal and shipping to get the stock? Would there be any difference in accuracy? Right now, the rifle outshoots me. I can tell when it is and isn't my fault for a bad shot.
Alternatively, would it just be easier to get a Kydex cheek riser and rill the appropriate holes?
