US suppressor cleaning question

Quick question about ultra sonic suppressor cleaning. If the US cleaner uses a mesh basket, will it scratch up the surface of the can? Do I need to wrap the can in a piece of old t-shirt before I drop it in?

be careful with an ultrasonic cleaner if your suppressor is finished with cerakote , an ultrasonic can strip the cerakote off the suppressor

when i use an ultrasonic to clean a suppressor i drop the suppressor in a zip lock baggie with the cleaning solution then place that into the basket. it uses less cleaning solution that way and makes cleaning up the ultrasonic easy
