Wondering what the norm is for using software for dope during PRS type matches. Seems like during timed events, accessing dope from iPhone etc would be kinda slow. Do you guys print out hard charts or actually use your software during matches? If using devices, give me a general Idea of how the sequence of engagement goes.

Thanks

John

You can use all the software you want. There is usually plenty of time once you get to a stage to get the ranges and wind. Get your dope from your phone, kestrel, etc. Then write it down on an arm bar or the like.
All of this takes place before your time starts. Once the time starts, you should already have everything down and all you have to do is shoot

get match booklet at registration
enter every stage target/distance into ballisticsarc range cards
enter atmospherics
write elevation and 10mph wind for all stages on match booklet.
write on hawk hill dope card before each stage
change atmospherics when there is a significant change or as time permits
