Suppressors Using Surefire Ryder S on .22, can it work on .223?

Howdy folks,
I use a Surefire Ryder 22-S on my Rimfire pistols. I assume that it was made for Rimfire use only? If so, can you recommend a suppressor for 5.56 NATO from sbr (7.5”)?
The Ryder is movie-quiet. Bystanders hear the action cycle and the bullet strike on steel targets. I am curious if a centerfire suppressor, even on my sbr with 77gr bullets would be quiet at a distance, or quiet where the rifle is located. I have never experienced a centerfire suppressor. With the Rimfire, the squirrel 50 yards away probably won’t hear the shot at all, assuming I miss him and his buddy two trees over falls dead. How quiet, or not, is a 5.56 NATO 100 yards from the suppressor?

Oh lord please don’t try to shoot anything larger than 22 through your Ryder. It will be catastrophic and dangerous .
You will be extremely hard pressed to find a can that will make your SBR hearing safe much less movie quiet.

Not nearly that quiet. The AR action cycling by itself is likely about as loud. Seem to recall TBAC did some tests of action noise and it was 115 ish.

Yes, you should still buy a can for your AR. Cuz Murcia!

Also remember that your 22 rounds out a pistol are likely subsonic.

I shot a deer with a suppressed 6.5 grendel last season (123 gr at 2530 fps). My dad was in a stand a few hundred yards away. He was surprised by how loud it was. The super sonic crack is typically over 140 db. That said, I heard the bullet smack the deer in the head...

You could use use the Ryder for probably a few shots before it completely blew up.

Supersonic rounds out of a rifle really aren't that quiet. Not even hearing safe.
As to a new .223 can, there are a bunch out there but rifle cans are significantly more than a rimfire can.

Suppressed ARs are loud, however it’s a night and day difference compared to a bare muzzle. To me, nothing is as obnoxiously loud as a goddamn AR. I have no idea how guys in ‘Nam like my dad shot that platform with absolutely no ear pro. Still has most of his hearing and was in several firefights.

If you shoot a 223 out of a bolt rifle with a reasonable length barrel, it can be pretty quiet. Out of an AR is a different story. It's still going to be loud.

There are some very reasonably priced, high quality, high performance cans out there right now. Look at the offerings from YHM. It's hard to beat the cost vs performance ratio on those cans. You can even get them for less than the top tier rimfire cans.
