I have a new USO 3.2-17 TPAL 35mm and the rings that came with the scope were too large. When they were tightened down around the tube the tube was loose in the rings.
I called USO and they said the rings sound like there out of spec and sent me a new set. got the new rings, and now my second set of USO 35mm rings are too big.
The scope tube measures 1.382 inches (35.10mm calculated) and the inside diameter of both sets of rings measure 1.450 inches.
Anyone else experience this or have any insight?

And to top it off I ordered and overnighted a LaRue 50BMG quick attach 35mm mount for $275 to have this scope mounted in time for a match this coming weekend and the rings on the mount are too close together to fit the huge turret assembly on the USO.

I cant buy a bucket!

Centerline of the scope above the rail using the ADM mount is 1.57". Might be too high for your application; I dunno.... Specs are shown at the bottom of the previously posted link.

and what's the point of this thread? Send them back and have someone there mic the next set before they drop them into the box. Case closed

The point is that people should know about shit like this so they can avoid products that exhibit such problems. I had this same thing happen to me so I drove down to USO and picked through several sets of their rings in exchange to find a pair that fit their scope snugly. According to them its just "machining tolerance variations". Unacceptable imo.
