I'm a sucker for compact scopes for a hunting/ light dialing role. I can live with the compromises of a 6 mil turret, no illumination, and a basic reticle. BUT has anyone had any extensive time with them?
This seems like it would be perfect for 22lr that I don't want to weigh down with a giant optic.

As long as your expectations are realistic, they are actually pretty cool little optics.

Don’t expect much from the turrets and be flexible with your mounting options as you’ll have really limited surface area to work with (because of how short they are), but if you can get past those, the glass and tracking are quite alright.

I’m using one on a 22 lr. The parallax adjustment is very good even at distances closer than I ever shoot (<25 yds). The reticle is simple but surprisingly good with a floating dot. It might be a little thin under lowlight conditions. Turrets are also simple but functional and tracking is reproducible. Like said above the mounting can be tricky because it’s so short but it’s a cool scope.

I think the USO is a Vector Veyron with cosmetic and maybe some mechanical differences. I don't know if they can account for the price difference, which is why I have a Vector for my 22lr plinker. Mine is a bit fish eye's at 3x, but that seems disappear with slightly more magnification.

Vector Veyron FFP $125 at Dvor...
It sure does have it similarities and worth considering at the price point.

Even if it is the same, the quality control and support of a US company seems to justify the added cost. Unless Vector offers similar warranty work...

At the current prices, you could buy like 2.5 Veyrons for the price of one TS-12. That seems like a crazy mark-up for warranty support.

If I'm going to gamble on a cheap scope, I'd rather go for the cheaper version.

Right there with you man. I'm not advocating for a company either, for the sake that it's USO or whomever.

I do think we are assuming they are identical. They certainly look and probably seem that way yet did USO contract more robust internals? Better quality control from the factory (like different grades of 22lr ammo)? They can customize reticles, which might seem easier to interchange so that's not a big deal to differ from other companies. I just don't know if there is or isn't anything to differentiate from each other when scopes come from the same factory. At least low end scopes like these.

On price, the Vector is right at $200-$225 from what I'm seeing online. If it broke, again, would they replace it? If not ordering a second scope that works puts it in the same money spent on the USO version.

Dvor has the FFP Veyron for $125 (before shipping and tax). Optics Planet (parent company to Dvor) typically has the FFP for $150-180. The best price I can find for the TS-12 is ~$310 (before shipping and tax). So, for me it's $149.5 vs. $324 shipped and taxed...

That's the thing about not knowing... you just don't know. They could have contracted for some improvements, or they could have just increased the mark-up.

Where are you finding the USO for $310?
