So … I’ve read and re-read all the “barrel lengths“ threads and info I could find… to the point of analysis-paralysis … I think I’ve convinced myself I want a 22” barrel for a new V22 360 order/build. Is there any reason a 22” barrel would be a mistake versus 20”?

Aside from a Nightforce ATACR, that’s the exact same “build“ I’m planning. I’m not as skilled, though, so I’m going to need the additional accuracy that comes with a Pale Brown chassis…Better balance in a rear heavy stock/chassis. That’s why I don’t have an 18” proof any more. My 22”MTU Vudoo three 60 balances perfectly in my AI chassis (no weights added). I’m very pleased with it. View attachment 7636284

I have a 22in mtu contour with a Bartlein barrel,it seems to balance better, and i didnt loose any velocity didn't gain but didnt loose, i like the tad bit more of weight along with a t-rec muzzle brake its titanium at the barrel threads but is bronze/brass at the end helped with accuracy ,had a a.t.s. tuner it didnt help at all if anything made it worse.... But NO SIR you will not regret going 22in a quite few people i shoot nrl22 and our matches at pps have them as well.

Absolutely! I would like a 13” for it just to match my AI but the 16” doesn’t look too bad with the 22” barrel. For reference this is a picture of my old AI chassis I had with a Vudoo with a 20” barrel and the 13” forend.
