I am looking for a low budget red dot sight for my ar and ran across this. Ive never heard anything but great things about IOR so I would assume this is a quality item? If anyone has one or has had a hands on experiance your input would be great. Valdada IOR RDS Edge

I would assume it is quality also but have no experience with their red dot sights. Another to consider is the vortex strike fire. Reasonably priced and very well made. And I have a primary arms red dot sight that ran around $60 and has been nothing but reliable. Have it mounted on an AR15. Check out their website.

My understanding is they out sourced the production to a company either in China or the Philippines I don’t remember which. I think that it’s a nice red dot for a 22lr or a pistol caliber carbine because of the exposed knobs but the 5 MOA dot is a bit big.
What I am seeing a lot more is companies putting their brand name on cheap Chinese red dots and selling them for a $100 - $150 premium. At least the EDGE isn’t like that and seems to have been designed by IOR. On the other hand I wouldn’t be surprised if that describes the RDS MICRO EDGE perfectly…

I have a vortex red dot (the aimpoint clone one). It's of better quality than the 50$ airsoft aimpoints I've seen.
edit: just found it has a "made in China" sticker on it too. perhaps they're all the same.
