varget w/ 6.5x284 140 SMK

Hey all, anyone try varget with heavier 6.5 bullets. I'm shooting a 6.5x284 in a 28". 1in8 shilen with 140gr VLD's and SMK's. Any loading datata out there? I know varget is usually run with the lighter bullets.

I'm pretty sure that is way too fast for that caliber.

H-4831SC has been working very well for me and most of the universe, followed closely by H4350, which can be a little fast.

+1 0n H4831SC. 142SMK/Lap/F210M and 51.3gr 4831SC gets 2950 and 5fps Es in my rifle. Save the Varget for your .308. Check out the 6BR site for a comprehensive guide to the 6.5-.284. AG in NC
